Inn the Pines Presents: Blossom Bakery

Blossom Bakery has joined Inn the Pines in bringing you fresh produce from the Niagara area. Baked goods will be available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until the end of the season. Bakery items usually arrive by 11am and are made fresh daily. Special orders and catering are happily welcomed; please consult our menu available at the stand and leave your order with Cheryl.

From Farm to Table

Sitting on the lake shore and visible from the QEW is Cheryl & Barney Barnes market garden. An integral, permanent and delightful fixture for all to see and experience. The garden is expected to produce a continuous succession of sun ripened vegetables throughout the 2009 growing season. Locally grown fruits compliment the Farm Gate, along with INN THE PINES free range eggs and homemade preserves.

Grown naturally, traditionally and hand picked, rows of vegetables are sown in strip beds and crops are rotated to maximize the season, bringing our customers a fresh, farm to your table experience. While we prefer to avoid the term "organic", our produce is about as "organic" as you can get, by popular definition.

We start with early spring onions, beets, peas, and lettuce (which is dug fresh for you while you wait!) and follow with all that summer has to offer; 35 heirloom tomato varieties, sweet corn, zucchinis, peppers, beans, cucumbers and so much more. Autumn brings us our comfort foods; pumpkins, potatoes and squash, to warm us for those cool fall evenings. Click here to find out more about our growing season.

We welcome you to come visit with us at the farm and take in some beautiful sights and our country style. Stop by for some perfect produce, home grown herbs, homemade preserves, farm fresh eggs or fresh cut flowers and a friendly chat with Cheryl and Barney.
